Our advice to our customers:
All train services between Bradford Forster Square and Ilkley are unable to run due to a landslip near Baildon station.
Network Rail are working to rectify this issue and the line will remain closed until further notice.
Effect on service:
Train services are unable to run between Ilkley and Bradford Forster Square (in both directions).
Services that run via Bradford Forster Square & Leeds and Leeds & Ilkley are NOT affected.
Alternative travel suggestions:
Season tickets/train passes for the Ilkley - Bradford Forster Square route are valid on Skipton - Bradford Forster Square services.
Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.
Road transport:

How does it affect your service:
Train services running through these stations have been cancelled. Disruption is expected until the end of the day on 03/05/24.
Our advice to our customers:
Services between Pontefract Monkhill and Knottingley are currently being disrupted due to an earlier landslip in the Pontefract area.
A full service should be able to operate from Saturday 4th May.
Effect on service:
Leeds - Knottingley via Castleford - services will only operate between Leeds and Castleford in both directions due to timetabling restrictions.
Leeds - Knottingley via Wakefield - a full service can run.
Rail Replacement:
To assist customers with their journeys, road transport is operating between Knottingley and Castleford calling at Pontefract Monkhill and Glasshoughton. Please see nationalrail.co.uk for timetables.

Our advice to our customers:
Services between Scunthorpe and Doncaster are currently unable to run in both directions, due to a landslip.
Network Rail Engineers are on site and are assessing the severity of the issue. As a result, all train services will be cancelled throughout Thursday 02/05/24.
Effect on service:
Trains are unable to operate between Scunthorpe and Doncaster, in both directions.
Alternative travel suggestions:
Trains are running as advertised between Doncaster and Hull meaning, Kirk Sandal, Hatfield & Stainforth are being served by one train an hour in each direction.
Customers to/from Thorne South are advised to use services from Thorne North towards Doncaster.
Road Transport details:
To assist customers to complete their journey, road transport will be provided between Doncaster and Scunthorpe in both directions, calling at all stations.

Step free access will be unavailable at the station between the concourse and footbridge from 17:14 on 01/05/2024 until further notice at Wakefield Westgate station.
Lift on platform 1 is out of use until further notice.
The ticket vending machines are out of order at Widnes station.
The ticket office will be closed from 07:00 on 02/05/2024 until the end of the day at Woodsmoor station.
Passenger Information during Disruption
Feedback from customers consistently tells us that the flow of information about train services that are experiencing disruption is a priority for them and is an area we need to focus on more strongly. Whilst it is recognised the Northern have the responsibility for managing their relationship with their own customers, the interconnected nature of the rail industry dictates that a coordinated approach to the provision of passenger information during major delays/disruption is appropriate and important.
