Keeping Northern moving
Running Northern is quite the intricate operation!
Covering a whopping 3,000km of track, we operate a staggering 2,500 services per day, stopping at over 500 stations. To keep things running smoothly, we rely on our fleet of 345 meticulously maintained trains, diligently looked after by our skilled engineers. Of course, it takes a competent driver and conductor to operate each service, both equipped with the necessary training, route knowledge, and qualifications.
To give you a glimpse into our operation, we've provided a video below featuring the dedicated individuals who make our train service possible.
