Early Careers - Apprenticeships
The focus is on skills training, developing knowledge and completing assignments alongside a detailed portfolio and group project, providing the challenge of meeting all coursework deadlines alongside a working role.
Based in Leeds or Manchester, apprentices experience a range of roles, including working in the Ticket Office and on platforms, alongside experienced members of the Northern team. Above all, Northern Customer Service apprentices gain a deep understanding and practical experience of delivering exceptional customer service.

- Great communication skills, especially confidence in talking to customers and people from a range of different backgrounds
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Keenness to learn and develop
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- Passing assessments in Maths, English and ICT
