Cleaning (Train Presentation)
Our cleaning and train presentation teams are the people who ensure that our customers travel in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
We need people who take great pride in their work, and who are up to the challenge of delivering a great service that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with three different, highly efficient cleaning programmes.
Our cleaning team includes Managers, Supervisors, Facilitators, Shift Leaders, Operatives, and Support – all with plenty of training, genuine opportunities for personal and career development, and a great salary and benefits package.
Train Cleaning Manager (TCM)
Our TCMs lead and motivate the train presentation team across their region. Responsible for team recruitment and staffing levels, their core remit is to ensure that trains are kept clean, safe, and ready to leave the depot on time.
Train Cleaning Supervisor (TCS)
The TCS team take care of shift rosters and the well-being of their team, as well as ensuring that Northern’s high cleaning standards are maintained.
Train Cleaning Facilitator (TCF)
TCFs are responsible for housekeeping, site audits, stock orders, risk assessments, and other reporting systems that keep the team working smoothly and efficiently.
Train Cleaning Leaders (TCTL)
TCLs oversee the hands-on train presentation teams, and make sure that complex and thorough cleaning procedures are delivered to an exceptional standard, and always on time.
Train Cleaner (TL)
TCOs are based at our depots and clean our trains to a consistently excellent standard. These are demanding roles, which require stamina and exceptional attention to detail and are worked in flexible shifts across 35 hours per week.
Train Cleaning Support (TCS)
Finally, the TCS team helps to keep everything working smoothly. Duties include assisting with rostering, training, auditing, administration, ordering, and much more.
