Swimming at Princes Dock
If open water swimming is more your bag, visit Princes Dock, Liverpool Waters, where you can enjoy a totally unique swimming destination this summer. The 500m course is clearly marked out to ensure swimmers can enjoy the water in laps around the dock, surrounded by the stunning backdrop of the famous Liverpool skyline – and, if you are lucky, a nearby cruise ship.
Liverpool Watersports Centre
If you're looking for kayaking in Liverpool, then Liverpool Watersports Centre is the perfect activity centre for you. Just over a mile from Liverpool Lime Street train station, Liverpool Watersports Centre offers a diverse range of activities, including open water swimming, power boating, paddleboarding, kayaking and canoes. If you are looking for an activity for a fun foursome, you can hire a swan pedalo for £20 for 30 minutes – guaranteeing grins! They also have a Wheelyboat, a wheelchair-accessible powerboat, to offer fun on the water for people of all abilities.
Liverpool Wake Park
For the adrenaline junkies, Liverpool Wake Park is not to be missed. Based at Liverpool Watersports Centre, instructor-led sessions will provide a safe and informative environment to learn an exciting new skill. Although it may look daunting, the club at Wake Park has catered to as young as 6 years old all the up to over 70. Whatever your situation, the coaches will encourage you to learn trick after trick.
