However, your dog needn’t miss out on a trip into Leeds; with its wide shopping streets, great architecture and dog-friendly shopping destinations like John Lewis, there’s plenty to sniff out – all a short walk from the station.

Dog-friendly Leeds
Northern Monk Refectory – just a ten minute walk from Leeds Station, a pint doesn’t come fresher than this… as it’s brewed just beneath your feet in the brewery on the ground floor. Located in The Old Flax Store, this dog-friendly Grade II listed mill in Holbeck offers 20 taps of fresh Northern Monk beer brewed using traditional monastic values combined with modern techniques.
The Brunswick – serving a great array of burgers and fried chicken and, on Sundays, one of the best roasts in Leeds, this dog-friendly avant-garde pub is well worth you and your dog having a little leg stretch to get to.
The Reliance – a stone’s throw from The Brunswick, on a sunny day it’s a great spot take grab a table outside with your dog. This modern British restaurant offers favourites ranging from haddock & chips to shoulder of lamb, as well as smaller dishes and a great wine list to accompany.
Mowgli – this Indian street food eatery isn’t about a refined evening out; it brings the fresh bright intense flavours of everyday Indian to Leeds. What’s more, subject to the manager’s discretion, it’s dog-friendly, so no one misses out.
Lamb & Flag –with warm exposed brickwork and big open windows, this renovated 19th century building boasts a sun-filled courtyard beer garden, ideal for a sit down with your four-legged friend. Serving an extensive array of ales, it has a great menu of locally sourced, freshly cooked meals.
North Star Coffee Shop and Roasters - this Leeds Dock-based coffee shop serves ethically-sourced coffee along with Scandi-inspired cake and pastry… and since it’s also dog friendly, they can enjoy watching the action on the water - including paddleboarders, wild swimmers and resident ducks, while you enjoy some tasty treats.
If … Up North - this dog-friendly Call Lane establishment specialise in breakfast and brunch. Their in-house baker uses locally sourced ingredients and they offer a seriously scrumptious menu – the pancakes are not to be missed.
