Services are diverted between Chinley and Manchester Piccadilly via Hazel Grove and Stockport, with a bus between Chinley and New Mills Central to connect with trains from Sheffield.
Manchester to New Mills Central via Bredbury
Mondays to Saturdays - an hourly train service runs between Manchester Piccadilly and New Mills Central, with a bus between New Mills Central and Chinley to connect with trains to Sheffield. >Sundays - an hourly bus service runs between Manchester Piccadilly, Bredbury and Chinley. The revised service between Manchester Piccadilly and New Mills Central is shown below.

Manchester to New Mills Central & Sheffield service changes 6 July - 25 August.
From Saturday 6 July until Sunday 25 August 2024, the railway line between Marple and Chinley will be temporarily closed for repair work.
Manchester to New Mills Central via Bredbury
This service will be revised from Saturday 6 July 2024 as follows:
- Mondays to Saturdays - an hourly train service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Marple. A bus service will run between Marple and Chinley
Sundays - an hourly bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly, Bredbury, Marple and Chinley.
Manchester - Sheffield
Services between Chinley and Manchester Piccadilly continue to divert via Hazel Grove and Stockport, with a bus service in operation between Chinley and Marple.
