Community group sets new Boundaries for Commondale

Beyond Boundaries, which offers a variety of activities across North Yorkshire for adults and youths with learning difficulties, has shown real community spirit by taking the Northern station under its wing.

From its base on a farm in the North Yorkshire Moors, Beyond Boundaries has already masterminded a number of projects at Commondale Station and Northern customers are reaping the benefits.

Pete Myers, Stakeholder Manager for Northern, said: “We are really grateful for all the hard work Beyond Boundaries have already put into making sure Commondale station looks its best. They have done a fantastic job and I’m sure they will continue to do Commondale proud.

Since becoming station adopters Beyond Boundaries have painted the waiting room in preparation for ‘Commondale Art Week’. They also commissioned a beautiful piece of artwork which now has pride of place in the station waiting room.

Pete added: “There is no doubt that Commondale is benefiting from the TLC given by Beyond Boundaries and everyone at Northern is excited to see what they do next!”
