REVEALED: Train operator Northern’s most popular summer hotspots
Customers are choosing to head to some of the north of England’s most vibrant cities for leisure travel.
Mark Powles, customer and commercial director at Northern said: “We’re lucky enough to be able to connect our customers to some of the best leisure destinations across the north of England.
“And there are plenty of ways for passengers to save money when travelling with Northern, including by buying one of advance tickets you could save up to 65 per cent.
“There’s truly something for everyone, come rain or shine over the summer holidays.”
The full list of Northern customer’s favourite summer destinations is below in order of popularity:
1) Manchester

Northern is the second largest train operator in the UK, with 2,500 services a day to more than 500 stations across the North of England.
