When arriving for booked or turn-up-and-go assistance, the meeting point is the Ticket Office on the main concourse. Staff are available to provide Passenger Assist at all times that trains are operating for customers who have booked or who travel as turn-up-and-go. Assistance is available both to board/alight trains and also navigating around the station.

Platform 1 has step free access via a ramp with moderate gradient. Platform 2 is reached by crossing the barrow crossing, this has an uneven surface due to the tracks, there is also a ramp with a steep gradient to get up to the platform.
