Lincoln Train Station facilities

Formerly known as Lincoln Central, this station, opened in winter 1948, serves the city of Lincoln. Seeing almost 2 million passengers through its doors every year, the station has a history as rich and diverse as the town itself.

Designed in the Tudor revival style of architecture, with distinctive yellow brickwork, stone grey dressings and warm blue slate roofing tiles, it was granted its Grade II listing in 1990. A total of five platforms, it has experienced several major improvement works over the years it has occupied this site. New footbridges, improved facilities and a beautiful pedestrianised plaza just outside the main entrance, all help this station continue its usefulness for many years to come.

Whatever your reason for visiting Lincoln, Northern has a wide range of budget-friendly ticket offers, including our Veterans Railcard for former members of the armed forces, and Duo tickets if you’re travelling with a friend.
