The Pennine Way is the oldest and most iconic National Trail stretching from the Peak District to the Scottish Borders. Edale is the starting point of the long-distance walking route and also home to Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District National Park.
Edale is unique in having a railway station where you can enjoy walks as soon as you step off the train, and the village was recently revealed by Ordnance Survey as the most popular place to start a walk in the UK.
